It
is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gene R. Lea, 70, on
Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Graveside Service: Noon Monday, June 26, in Laurel Land
Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Gene was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Fort Worth. He was
retired from Dannon. Gene had an unwavering dedication to his brothers, family
and friends. Gene proudly served our county as an MP in the U.S. Army until
1972. Gene was preceded in death by parents, Reedie and Elizabeth Lea; and both
brothers, William "Bill" R. Lea Sr. and John Lea. Survivors: Nephew,
William "Billy" R. Lea Jr. (Martha); nieces, Jennifer Lea, Kathy
Kovach (Chris) and Amy Bednar (Aaron); sister-in-law, Pamela Lea; and multiple
great-nieces and great-nephews.
